Mary-Hannah Klontz, Musical Director of the Chamber Chorale of Fredericksburg, received a Master of Music in French Horn Performance from the Eastman School of Music, a Bachelor of Music Education in French Horn, Piano and Voice from the University of Akron, and is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Choral Conducting from George Mason University. Mary-Hannah is the Arts Education Specialist for the Arlington Virginia Public Schools, where she has taught for many years as a choral and general music teacher. Mary-Hannah is a Creative Motion Master Teacher, and serves on the faculty of the Windswept Summer Music Conference held annually at William Jewell College. Mary-Hannah serves as the Repertoire and Standards Chair for Community Choirs in the Virginia Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and chairs the Voices United Festival Chorus, an honor choir for community choir members, held annually at George Mason University.

Ensembles under the direction of Mary-Hannah Klontz have received the highest accolades and been invited to perform at the Virginia Music Educators Conference, The White House, The National Cathedral and The Millennium Stage of the Kennedy Center. She is active as a soloist and chorister, having performed with the Master Chorale of Washington Chamber Singers at The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Heinz Hall and Riverside Church. Mary-Hannah's musical career began as a French Hornist in various orchestras, including the Rochester Philharmonic, Canton Philharmonic, Lexington Symphony, Jerusalem Symphony and Israel Sinfoniettia. She enjoys composing and has recently published one of her compositions, Point Me to the Stars, with Hal Leonard as part of the Henry Leck Choral Artistry Series. She resides in Arlington with her husband, Paul Klontz, a member of the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and their daughters, McKenna and Kyra.
